What is Proviron?

Proviron is produced by Dragon Pharma. Mesterolone is an anabolic steroid used for promoting muscle mass and strength. It is a mild steroid with low risk of developing estrogen related side effects. It is a steroid that comes in form of tablets, and unlike other oral steroids, mesterolone is not hepatotoxic. Also, it is a weak steroid with low androgen activity; therefore it rarely may be used for replacement therapies. Its main advantage over other steroids is the fact that it is maintaining libido off-cycle and temporarily improves vascularity. One interesting fact about mesterolone (Proviron) is that it may be used as a pro-sexual agent in between cycles.

Possible side effects with Proviron

The most common side effects with Proviron are the following:

• Migraine;

• Abdominal pain;

• Fatigue;

• Increased blood pressure;

• Changes in mood;

• Nausea or vomiting;

• Depression;

• Insomnia.

As mesterolone is considered to not cause estrogen related side effects, these are also a possibility. If you notice increased body hair, or hair loss, acne, swollen ankles or feet, symptoms of gynecomastia decrease the dose and combine mesterolone with other drug that will improve the symptoms.

Effective doses and indications of use

As already mentioned, Proviron comes in form of tablets of 25 mg which makes it very easy to administer. It is indicated to start the therapy with a lower dose and increase it until the most suitable one and maintain it for the whole period of time. The recommended initial dose is three to four tablets daily for the first two months. During the maintenance phase it is recommended a dose of two or three tablets daily. The length of taking the drug is up to six months. However, if the results are obtained in a shorter period of time, there is no need to take the drug further.

Tablets should be taken orally, with or without food. The recommended dose may be taken at once or divided in several doses. Try to take the tablets at the same time everyday in order to avoid missing doses.
