Nandrolone decanoate is an anabolic steroid that is used for increasing muscle mass and strength. It is a very popular steroid, since it does not produce many estrogenic side effects. Nandrolone decanoate is also popular among athletes because it alleviates joint pain by storing water in connective tissue. Nandrolone decanoate has a very low rate of aromatization, which means it does not convert to the female sex hormone through the aromatase enzyme. Also, it does not convert to di-hydrotestosterone, which means that it decreases the risk of developing androgen-related side effects. Effective doses and indications of use

As already mentioned, nandrolone decanoate is a popular steroid among athletes and it comes in form of injected solution. It has a very long active life, which means that it does not need to be injected on a daily basis. It is known for producing quality muscle gains and lean mass, it has to be administered for at least 12 weeks, in some cases its use may be prolonged to 16 weeks. Even if it has to be administered for an extended period of time, it is a safe and mild steroid, which is highly anabolic and not very androgenic.

The usual dose of nandrolone decanoate in a bulking cycle is up to 600mg per week for a period of time from 12 to 16 weeks. The drug needs to be injected once or twice a week. If the athlete intends to use nandrolone decanoate for a cutting cycle, the usual dose is 400mg per week, again for a period of time up to 16 weeks. Generally, nandrolone decanoate needs to be used in combination with testosterone and for decreasing the risk of developing estrogen related side effects, it is recommended to use anti-progesteronic drugs such as Cabergoline and Bromocriptine. The dose of testosterone to be used in bulking cycle with nandrolone decanoate is at least 200mg, in order to avoid impotence and sexual dysfunction.

Nandrolone decanoate is intended for intramuscular use, preferably into the gluteal muscle. It should not be injected intravenously. ·If you have any of these conditions: carcinoma of the breast, carcinoma of the prostate gland, have had a heart attack or have serious cardiac, renal or hepatic diseases. For example, cholestatic jaundice is associated with the use of steroids in general, and edema with or without congestive heart failure may occur in some cases.

Another important thing to be known by all athletes prior to initiation of the cycle with nandrolone decanoate is interaction with anticoagulants and diabetes medicines. If you already use any anticoagulant agents or insulin, reduce the doses in order to avoid their interaction. Also, ask a pharmacist about other medicines that may interact with this drug.

Possible side effects with nandrolone decanoate

Like any other anabolic steroid, nandrolone decanoate may cause side effects. These may differ in frequency, intensity and duration. All the side effects are a possibility; it means that not all users will get to experience same side effects or any side effects in general. As already mentioned, nandrolone decanoate does not convert into dihydrotestosterone; therefore the risk of developing side effects such as hair loss, acne and male pattern baldness is very low. Considering a low interaction with aromatase enzyme, the risk of developing estrogen-related side effects is low; however if using nandrolone decanoate in higher doses, gynecomastia and decreased libido can still occur. For avoiding such scenarios, consider the use of aromatase inhibitors.

The most common side effects with nandrolone decanoate are the following:

·Water retention. In order to decrease the risk of water retention, it is recommended to take one of the aromatase inhibitors such as Letrozole.

·Increased appetite;

·Excitation;

·Aggressive behavior;

·Frequent and persistent erections or so called erectile dysfunction;

·Changes in sexual desire, most often decreased sexual desire.

Another side effect associated with the use of nandrolone decanoate is the cardiovascular damage, this is the reason it is contra-indicated the use of the drug in athletes with pre-existing cardiovascular diseases.

How to store nandrolone decanoate?

It is recommended to keep nandrolone decanoate at the room temperature between 20 to 25 degrees Celsius or 68 to 77 degrees Fahrenheit.
